 Abstract:

The present study aims to explore the psyche of Andal, a revered Tamil poetess, through her literary works. Often perceived as the adopted daughter of Periyalvar and the bride of Lord Vishnu, Andal's poetry offers a glimpse into her inner world, beyond the conventional notions of bhakti. This research delves into the uncharted territories of her mind, uncovering the underlying emotions and thoughts that shaped her creative expression. By analyzing her works, this study seeks to understand the interplay between her personal experiences, societal context, and literary output.
