Abstract:
This article explores the concept of Kaman, the god of love in Tamil culture, as depicted in Silapathikaram. Kaman is revered as a powerful deity who influences human emotions and desires, and is often referred to by various names such as Uruvilalan, Manmathan, and Kamavela. The article examines Kaman's role in the epic, highlighting his impact on the characters and their relationships, and how he serves as a catalyst for the plot's progression.
